Country Two Drawer Table, Chocolate Sideboard dark chocolate finish

dark chocolate finish

The subtly curved lid gives this black lacquer trunk its name as well as its graceful lines

The overall design of the chest

Like our other chests this black lacquer version is made from solid reclaimed elm wood using proper dovetail joints and is strong enough to sit on

Our light elm version shows off the beautiful wood grain

Country Two Drawer Table, Chocolate Sideboard dark chocolate finishThe 'horse hoof' shaped feet and waisted table top of our chocolate colour coffee table are a typical trait of most Chinese tables from the Ming and Qing dynasties. The table is based on the simple wooden daybeds that were used throughout China for reclining during the day and for sleeping on at night. The addition of two shallow drawers gives a more modern practicality useful for holding magazines or remote controls.
